There is a photography technique called Orton Imagery or Orton Slide Sandwich. It makes photos look more ethereal or - to me - what heaven will look like. Just a little prettier, fuzzy around the edges, softer ...
When Michael Orton developed this, he overlayed two slides with different exposures on them - thus making the sandwich. One image was sharply in focus, the other very out of focus. Since slides are see - through - this worked out well. You can get the same effect in Photoshop using the Filter-Sharpen-SmartSharpen technique and Filter-Blur-GaussianBlur.
It is fun ... as you can see here I could not stop. As you can also see here - it works very well on deciduous trees and fences ...
... OK, and maybe at this size you cannot tell - click on one (say the shack or the farm) and blow it up bigger - you will see the effect.

I've seen that technique before, personal portraits and the like, but wasn't sure how it was done ,very cool. It even makes an old crooked outhouse look inviting.
Love the shot, with the small stand of trees in the blue field, power pole and all.
Take care.AJ
