Sandstorm in Iraq

Gary took this pic with his Blackberry of a sandstorm hitting the compound he is at in Iraq:
He said that everything after was covered in a layer of dust and that he was probably having dirt for dinner.

When asked what it is like he said:

"It is like Scout Camp, but the counselors are wearing full body armor and carrying guns."

What amazes me is those two men in the picture, focused on their work, totally ignoring the wall of dirt coming at them. Me? I'd be running for cover! I remember a few Lake Powell trips when we would leave the camper windows open a bit to keep the heat to a minimum when he had to sleep in them. When a big storm would blow the sand all around, we would come home to red sand layered on the table, the counters, in our bedding, and if you left anything outside, like tents, they were flattened and contents blown all helter skelter. And that must have been NOTHING like the effect that storm showed promise of!

Do you have any vacation horror stories to tell?
