That is exciting, isn't it? Kimberly turned 18 in September of 2000 (man I'm old), so she got to vote in that presidential election. I went and took her out of school (so we could avoid the lines). It was a great experience to share with her.
Ashley called all pumped up because she got to vote in her first presidential election. We get so complacent - I went in behind a guy who asked if his ballot got disqualified if he only voted on one candidate - he didn't say which one, and they told him that as long as this was the only time he voted, it was valid. How sad - what if by some stretch of the imagination the vote came down to just one number different. He could have made the decision, and didn't. He took the time to come vote, was registered, stood in the line, but decided to only have a say on one race.

Now that is something to look forward to.
