1) Select the 'free form' pen tool (under the pen tool - pen looks like a fountain pen)
2) Draw a curvy line (click and drag)
3) Select 'Text tool' (the 'T') (set up the font and size to be something that will 'work' with the line you just drew - ie don't have a huge size and just a small line
4) Hover your cursor over the path you created and when the original cursor for text becomes: 'the original cursor for text with a squiggly line through it' - start typing!
Longer answer - you can type on any vector based path - so you can type around vector shapes and all types of paths. The free form pen is the only one that you could just quickly make a squiggly line and start typing with - so immediate gratification ... vectors can be confusing ... I know they confuse me!
