Amaryllaceae

Thought I would cover all my bases:

"Amaryllidaceae is the botanical name of a family of flowering plants." -Wikipedia.

Somewhere in the sixty genera and over 800 species my flower resides.

Somewhere between:

'Amaryllis' and 'Zephyranthes'

I am sure my guy has a name ...

do I care what it actually is?

Not anymore ...

We could call it " A Maryalice" since that's what that name kind of looks like to me. What do you think?

Yes!! Thank you, Sarah. I couldn't get past pronouncing the darn thing, but "A Maryalice" sounds perfect and she's as gorgeous as a flower... perfect! Of course I'm trumping Lori on this one, sorry Lori.. I struggle if I can't pronounce something ;)

I like the effect you used on this page.

It was a late night and I totally butchered the spelling ... but then again - maybe not! I like it to!

Shelly - had I actually came even a smidge to the actual spelling - I'll bet you would be able to pronounce it!

I totally thought of little MaryAlice when I saw the name the first time! I'll probably always think of her now when I see those flowers (or your pictures of those flowers).

Beautiful picture, as usual.
